Temple Lore

The temple was built by a narcissistic king who believed he was equal to a god. As he pressured his people for offerings in both treasure and flesh, his riches grew and the temple became his treasure chest. Eventually the gods could no longer turn a blind eye. They sunk the king to the bottom of the ocean, along with his treasure and the entire temple. Once every 100 years, the temple re-emerges for whoever might find it, to take its gold.
